Our goal was to provide short, simple and fun competition in a way that any dojo within 4hr drive can easily travel in the morning and go home on the same day.
Competitors came from Piacenza, Graz, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Zadar, Split and of course Rijeka.
Junior A (up to 14 years) had 16 shiaisha and two winners joined Junior B (15-18) for a total of 5 shiaisha. Due to no show all junior B (15-18) could join also kyu category that had then total of 10 shiaisha. Together with winners from kyu category dan had 12 shiaisha.
Junior A category was held with 2 pools of 8 with everybody against everybody system so 28 fights per pool total (7 for each competitor). Best 4 out of each pool went into quarter finals.
Junior B category had one pool of 5 with same system as junior A category. 4 best in single pool went into semi-finals.
Kyu competition was organised as double elimination or better to say second chance k.o. same as dan category.
There were 8 teams named by Rijeka city parts and members of each team were drawn out of the hat by 8 youngest competitors.
